Pauline
I couldn´t resist and took the dwarf hamster home with me - she is now called Pauline and I´m very fond of her :).
As there are no appropriate (large enough, proper ventilation & lattice spacing) cages/enclosures available for reasonable money I am building a home for her at the moment.
Can´t wait to see if she likes it !

At the moment there´s a djungarian dwarf hamster (Phodopus sungorus) in our animal shelter an I´m smitten :) .
I´ve been a fan of these animals for ages and even once built a hamster enclosure which I then sold via e-bay. On Saturday I was taking a look at the small animals so that I could photograph new ones for the shelter website, and stumbled upon this creature.
Isn´t he gorgeous?
I am now at odds with myself wether i should adopt him/her nor not...
Any advice appreciated :).
