Throwaway-society at it´s best/worst...
In the last years I´ve "disovered" various cages, terrariums (*), various pieces of furniture, once even an aviary.
(*) Hmm...Leo says this ist the correct expression, but I´ve never heard it while working at the herp department at the zoo, Tanks is the word that comes to my mind?
This ist my newest trove:

A bike-trailer, used but in working order, apart from a hole in the canvas at the bottom.
Axis, wheels etc. - all the important bits are ok, and I hope I can fix the hole with wire-mesh and/or truck tarpaulin.
If it works I won´t use it for children but it should be fine for smaller dogs (like Jack :) ) and shopping. These trailers usually sell for at least 60 Euro on ebay when they´re used, when they´re new they cost over a hundred Euro.
A cupboard I once found at the bulky refuse, standing by the road. Almost new, nothing broken, still with the sale-sticker attached:
It now contains my towels.
I´ve been thinking about our "materially-orientated-society" a lot and I´ve come to the conclusion that I don´t like it´s concepts at all.
Starting from the assumption that money makes you happier up to the consequences it´s got for our environment.
But I´ll spare you :).
Just got the Idea of photographing every second-hand piece in my household, but that would be a rather time-consuming task :).
